SPECIALTY ROLL PRODUCTS PAPER — •Paper roll styles: —Bond -- 'Plain' paper roll used in many cash registers and adding machines. Two styles: #16 virgin fiber (high bulk) and #15 tablet virgin fiber. The high bulk is slightly thicker paper and will have a larger diameter when compared to the same footage on the same core of a roll that is using tablet fiber. —Thermal -- Used on printers that do not have a ribbon. The paper, instead, is imaged by a heated printhead. There are different grades of thermal paper, primarily distinguished by their coatings; sensitivity to heat. —CB/CF -- Two-ply paper, with both the top and bottom plies imaged by the impact of the printer key alone. Does not use ribbon. |
