Mascott AST Division provided a 15,000 gallon tank and fueling cabinet for a Jet A system at the Juneau, AK Airport for Glacier Aviation’s FBO. This original system was built and installed in early 2015. Recently the customer requested the addition of a Prist Injection System which will protect against formation of ice in fuel lines. This was needed due to location climate and system fuel type. Jet A systems can have small amounts of dissolved water that can separate out of the fuel at high altitudes, which could result in catastrophic failure if it were to freeze in the fuel system of the aircraft. This addition was sub-assembled here with final field welding and training happening over a two day period onsite.
